“TODAY the Coalition has made good on its election promise to axe Labor’s anti-competitive, costly and job destroying carbon tax… no thanks to Labor and the Greens,” Nationals Leader and Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss said today.

 “For 10 long months Labor and the Greens have clung on to the carbon tax and in bitterness inflicted it on Australian families and businesses, denying them the immediate relief the people demanded at last September’s federal election.

“Today we fulfil our pledge to the Australian people… the carbon tax is dead.
