The YNPA Advantage
The Young Nationals has developed over the last
thirty-five years to ensure younger Australians between the ages
of 16 and 30 are given every opportunity to increase their understanding
of and contribution to Australian politics.
State Nationals place major emphasis on the strength and development of their
Young Nationals' sections. Young Nationals are important because their strength
ensures the future strength of the Party as a whole.
The Young Nationals offer you the opportunity to engage in political and social
activities, learn about Government and politics, debating and public speaking;
and, if you so wish, aspire for a career in politics.
Involvement with the Young Nationals also gives you many opportunities to develop
your leadership skills and to learn from other proactive, enthusiastic leaders
around you - especially our leaders of Government.
Most importantly though, being a member of the Young Nationals provides a person
under 30 with the easiest method - in all of Australia - to directly influence
the formulation of government policy.
If you are employed in industry / agriculture or you run a small business or
you are a person who has ideas for improving your community or country, then
being a member of the Young Nationals allows you to deliver those ideas directly
to our Parliaments.
Being a member of the Young Nationals also gives you the opportunity to significantly
enhance your network of professional and personal contacts.

diverse backgrounds, develop new friendships, travel around your
